The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame invites residents to submit nominations for consideration of member induction into the Hall.
Nominations for Athletes, Builders & Teams will be accepted through Friday March 23rd at 4:30 pm.
Guidelines & nomination forms are available online at www.collingwoodsportshalloffame.ca or at the town of Collingwood Parks, Recreation & Culture Department at 55 Ste Marie Street or the Centennial Aquatic Centre at 451 Third Street.
The members to be inducted will be announced in May.

Nominations are open for the very first inductees to the new Clearview Township Culture and Sports Hall of Fame.
Forms are available at the township administration office in Stayner, all Clearview public library branches and both the Stayner and Creemore arenas.
Nomination forms are also available on the township website.
The nomination period closes on March 31st.
The awards will honour individuals and groups who have made a positive impact on the sports and cultural communities throughout the township.
The Kilsyth Young Guns and Kilsyth Flyers are proud to be the host teams for the 2018 Canadian Juvenile Broomball Championship Tournament in Owen Sound.
The Young Guns will host the Girls tournament while the Boys Championship will be hosted by the Flyers April 4th-7th at both the Bayshore & Regional Rec Centre.

The 2018 Grey Roots Regional Heritage Fair is Thursday April 19th at Grey Roots Museum & Archive on Grey Road 18
The activities run from from 9 am to 2 pm and features close to 50 projects from various schools which will be on display and adjudicated by volunteer judges.
The top projects from the Regional Fair will go on to the Provincial or National Fair in June

The Owen Sound Flying Dutchmen Lacrosse Team will celebrate their 25th anniversary of winning the 1993 Founders Cup as Canadian Junior B Lacrosse Champions in May.
A team reunion has been scheduled for Saturday May 26th at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
The reunion will coincide with the current Junior B NorthStars game that night against Spartan.

The 23rd Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Tournament for Muscular Dystrophy research will be held on Friday July 20th at Saugeen Golf Club in Port Elgin.
Through the years, the tournament has generated funding of almost $1.4 million dollars for MD research.

The 2018 invasion will start during the first week of September and continue till after the Thanksgiving weekend.
The parade on Sykes Street and Family Festival Hoedown at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion is scheduled for Friday, September 28.
The 2018 Ontario Minor Track Association Provincial Cross Country Meet will be hosted by the Meaford Coyotes.
The Coyotes won the right to host the meet following an MTA vote on Sunday.
The date for the 2018 Provincials will be Saturday October 27th and the Coyotes will utilize the Georgian Bay Community School Athletic Field and part of the Georgian Trail.
