Spring is in the air! I can smell it. I can feel it.
The calendar might show that spring is actually still a few weeks away but we all know that we can change our mood just by changing our focus and I for one am ready for a change!
Don+?G??G??t get me wrong, I love winter and the fact that our area thrives on a snowy winter season.
It is great to see our retailers busy, the restaurants all but full on the weekends and our winter events so well attended.
I love the sound of the snowmobiles, the sight of the skiers on the hills and trails and the kids of all ages enjoying the toboggan hills and building snowmen!
I love watching our neighbor+?G??G??s team of clydsdales pulling the sleigh through the fields.
I love going to the theatre, snowshoeing, going bowling with my family or curling up with a great book by the fireplace.
I love all that our area has of this to offer, and I am optimistic that because of our tourism draws and the many activities that our area residents enjoy and support we will be able to avoid most of the negative economic issues that less diverse areas are experiencing.
So please join me in getting out and about throughout our area!
Enjoy winter while it lasts. Experience all that the area has to offer.
Take a walk through the village at Blue, walk your downtown streets, visit a museum, take in a show, go out for dinner, +?G??-?. and then when you need to think of spring, visit the retailers and get ready for it!+?G??-?.Spring is coming+?G??-?I can smell it+?G??-?I can feel it+?G??-?.I+?G??G??m Deb Shaw, and from where I sit it just cannot come soon enough!
