I just checked. Again! I am right handed. So why is it that people want to call me a "Lefty"? Including a friend and former colleague. AND including my friendly neighbourhood true-blue Member of Parliament.. Oh, I KNOW what "Lefty" means politically. It is the opposite to "Righty", although I have become quite convinced that Righties aren't always right. All right! My point is..I have no on-going political affiliation. I vote on conscience, and on the issues of the time, favouring the group that I feel can best handle those. I take after my dear old Dad, bless him. Or, to borrow a phrase from my staunchly-Conservative GRAND-father, we "lean whichever way the wind is blowing". All right for HIM. All of that said, I AM consistent in a few beliefs. That the gap between the rich and the rest is growing. That rewarding the rich and big business no longer trickles down. That we CAN welcome newcomers to our country, AND care for our veterans, AND make sure the masses can manage...even have a good life! And that, with prudence, we can do all that, and not drive our DOMINION down the drain fiscally. If you might call me a "Lefty" for my views, what can I say? Except the opposite to RIGHT isn't always WRONG.
