Two local farm families have been named Master Breeders.
Two local farm families have been named Master Breeders by Holstein Canada.
Rob and Alice Bumstead operate Loyalyn Holsteins near Shallow Lake, just northwest of Owen Sound.
Also named as Master Breeders this year were Dan and Jeff Bross.
They run Florbil Holsteins in the Mildmay area.
Holstein Canada has been giving out the Master Breeder award since 1929.
The local farmers will be among 20 winners from across Canada honoured at the Holstein Master Breeder banquet in Quebec City, on April 14th.
Wheat organizations from all NAFTA member countries are encouraging trade negotiators to finalize a successful trade agreement.
