At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday, December 5th, 536 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.
Good quality vaccinated cattle sold steady, while unvaccinated 2nd cut cattle sold under pressure.;
Cull cows sold 3-5 higher.
Steer calves weighing up to 600 pounds sold from $2.15 to $2.87, while heifers sold to $2.17.
Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.67 to $2.27 while heifers sold to $1.89.
Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.11 while heifers sold from $1.40 to $1.93.
Cull cows sold from 62 to 96 cents while bulls sold to 84 cents.
At the calf, sheep and goat barn 123 dollar calves were on offer, selling steady.
Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $305 per head.
There were 138 sheep and goats on offer.
Market lambs weighing 50-64 pounds sold to $2.80 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $125 per head.
At the small animal sale, Chantecler Poultry sold to 1 dollar per bird, while Guinea Fowl topped at 3. Cochins Poultry stopped at 6 dollars a piece while Drakes sold to 4.
