Hi, I'm Alex Cunningham with Off the Wire

The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently in 2nd place only behind the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning are 1st in the Atlantic Division at 21 & 6 on the season with 44 points

The Leafs are 2nd in the Atlantic Division at 20 & 10 on the season with 41 points.

Toronto has won 3 straight games.

Last season the Leafs finished 4th in the Atlantic division at 40 & 27 on the season.

Their first of their 3 wins was against Calgary when they won 2-1 in a shootout.

They claimed another a victory on Saturday when they beat Pittsburgh 4-3 then again on Sunday against the Oilers 1-0 with Zach Hyman getting the only goal 34 seconds into the game and Leafs backup goalie Curtis McElhinney stopped 41 shots against Edmonton.

Auston Matthew's of the Leafs had to miss Sunday's game due to an upper body injury and is expected to return for tonight's game in Philadelphia against the Flyers.

Some say this is their season to win it all and take home the cup for the first time since 1967.

I do believe that if they keep playing as they have the last few games and step up their game a bit then they could take the Stanley Cup home.

The Leafs still have 20 games to play in the regular season and have lots of time to change the standings.

Tonight the Leafs will be looking for their 4th straight win when they go to Philadelphia to face the Flyers.

I'm Alex Cunningham Thanks for Listening
