Keady Livestock Market Report

At the Keady Livestock Market on Tuesday October 3rd,  853 head of steers, heifers, cows and bulls were on offer.

Good quality stocker and feeder cattle sold fully steady while cull cows and bulls sold barely steady.

Steer calves up to 600 pounds sold from $2.05 to $2.49, while heifers sold to $2.00.

Steers weighing 600-800 pounds sold from $1.75 to $2.28  while heifers sold to $1.92.

Steers weighing 800-1000 pounds sold to $2.10 while heifers sold from $1.55 to $1.89.

Cull cows sold from 61 to 80 cents while bulls sold to 91 cents.

At the calf, sheep and goat barn 106 dollar calves were on offer, selling steady.

Holstein male calves weighing 100 to 150 pounds sold up to $320 per head.

There were 108 sheep and goats on offer.

Market lambs weighing 95-109 pounds sold to $2.32 per pound while Billy Goats sold up to $155per head.

At the small animal sale, Bred Lop Doe Rabbits sold to 8 dollars each while Plymouth Roosters topped at 5.

Muscovy Drakes stopped at 20 dollars per bird while Call Ducks sold to 13.
