The Grey-Bruce Line Spraying Highlanders Minor Peewee team participated in a tournament in Lindsay over the weekend and went winless through round-robin play. Daniel Bureau, Austin Hamilton, Jorden Reaman (2), and Owen Routheut scored for the Highlanders.

 

 

In game 2 of the best of 5 PeeWee DD OMHA quarter-finals series (also the WOAA finals), the TCDMHA Harold Sutherland Construction PeeWee Rep Rebels were defeated by the Milverton Yirka Contracting Ltd. Drives in overtime.  With only 46 remaining, Ryan Ropp scored his third goal of the game to lift the Drives to a 4-3 victory.  Andrew Debas scored the opening goal for the Drives.  The Rebels goals were scored by Cameron Stryker, Brendan Batterman and Jordan Baumber.  Assists went to Morgan Ottewell and Joel Delleman.  The series is now tied 1-1 with game 3 in Milverton on Friday, Feb. 12 at 8:15 pm and game 4 in Keady on Sun. Feb. 14 at 1:30 pm. 


In the PeeWee DD WOAA finals (which also doubles as the OMHA quarter-finals), the Milverton Yirka Contracting Ltd. Drives travelled to Keady on Saturday, Feb. 6 for game one of the best of five series to play agains the TCDMHA Harold Sutherland Construction PeeWee Rep Rebels.  The home team was victorious with a 5-2 win.  Opening the scoring for the Rebels, 39 seconds into the game, was Morgan Ottewell with assists from Connor McCauley and Joel Delleman.  Less than a minute later, Cameron Stryker scored for the Rebels with an assist from Dawson McNabb.  Milverton then came back to tie the game in the second period with a goal by each of Landon Smith and Ryan Ropp.  Joel Delleman scored late in the second to take a 3-2 lead with assists by Jordan Baumber and Graydon McArthur.  In the third period, the Rebels secured the win with 2 additional goals, one each by Evan Kuhl and Brendan Batterman.  Assisting were Cameron Stryker and Connor McCauley.  .

 

LIGHTNING THUNDERSTRUCK IN QUARTERS

In the Sarnia Silver Stick Tournament this weekend, the Saugeen Maitland Lightning ‘AA’ Midgets fell hard in the quarter-finals against the eventual Gold medal champions, the Toronto Aero's losing 3-0.  During round robin play the Lightning tied Windsor Wildcats 1-1, tied Etobicoke Dolphins 1-1 and won 8-1 against the Mississauga Chiefs #715.  Lindsey Ceaser and Laura Irwin led the team with 3 points each.  Other point getters included Laura McKenzie, Marcie Landman, Gina Murray and Dollee Meigs each with 2 points; and single points going to Ashley Reid, Ona Mezenberg, Kathryn Roy, Sara Gossell, Laken Smith and Diane Bushell.  Both goalies, Sarah McGall and Emily Kelly playing excellent in net for all games played.  The girls are next in action this Tuesday as they begin their best of 5 Provincial Series against the Stratford Aces.  The home game is scheduled for 8pm at the Howick Arena.  Admission is free.

 

 

The TCDMHA InLine Fencing Peewee C girls Rebels tied The Penninsula Wild 3-3 in Hockey action on Saturday in Keady.
The Rebels scorers were:Miranda Bruce, Taylor Slater and Maddy Moore.
The Wild scorers were: Hayley Thompson, Amy Hepburn and Abby Myles.
The Rebels now have a win and a tie in Provincial Playdowns, next game: VS Markdale in Keady Tuesday @ 7:30pm.

 

The TCDMHA Desboro Garage Peewee LL Rebels hosted The Saugeen Shores Storm on Saturday in LL action. Although it was a hard fought game, the Rebels came up short with a 8 - 3 loss.  The Rebels scorers, Dylan Stephen with 2 and Will McNabb with 1. The Storm's goals were scored by: Tyler Muzzell with 3, Dan Hilbers (2), and singles by: Tomas Forsyth,Blake D'Angelo,and Harrison Williams.

 

 

TCDMHA Barry's Construction Atom LL Rebels


Briten Marcell records the shut out as TCDMHA Barry's Construction Atom LL Rebels closed out an undeafed season this afternoon with Bruce Peninsula #1 AtomLL 5-0.
Kody Weppler scored two, Cody Lisk had a single and one assist and Gabby Jex and Connor Bye each had a single while Evan Mielhausen had two assists and Kelly McCarthy had one.

 


 

Michelle McNabb recorded her 11th shutout of the season as the TCDMHA Country Charm Mennonite Furniture Bantam C Rebel Girls defeated Grey Highlands 2-0 in game 2 of their OWHA Provincial Playdowns.  Scoring for
 the Rebels were Morgan Potter, assisted by Lexy Horton, and Courtney Torrie, assisted by Nicole Ballagh-Evans.  The Rebels are gearing up for game 3 in Meaford this coming Saturday.

Owen Sound Canadian Tire Junior Attack Novices lost 9 - 2 to Elmvale Sunday in the opening game of Georgian Bay playoff action.   Brayden Krueger and Jon Vokes scored for Owen Sound. 
They meet again at the Bayshore Tuesday night at 7:30 in this best 2
out of 3 round.

 

Scooter Dodd scored 4 goals to lead the Brian Pickett Ride Centre, Junior Attack Atom AE to a 5 - 3 win over Oro in Georgian Bay round robin action Sunday.  Matthew Struthers scored Owen Sound's other goal with assists from Luc Chiasson, Tyler Scott and Keegan McIlmoyle.


The Brian Pickett Ride Centre, Junior Attack Atom AE won their first game of round robin Georgian Bay action Saturday against Elmvale 4-2. 
Brady Blackman, Keegan McIlmoyle, Matthew Struthers and Joe McCorkindale
 had the goals for the Attack. 

Hillary Holyome, Nathan Papke, Luc Chiasson, Keegan Bradley and Matthew Struthers had the assists.
