Must Win Game for Winterhawks
by John Divinski Before this weekend is out someone will have won the WOAA playoff series between the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks and the Lucknow Lancers. The Wintehawks hope to push the series to the 5-game limit but to get there, they must win again tonight in Lucknow like they did in Saugeen Shores last night. Coach Don Matheson admits the ice in Lucknow is a big rink but that plays into their hands as well as it does for the Lancers. Matheson says the game plan remains the same and that is to keep pressing them until their defence breaks down. The Lancers lead the series, 2-games to 1. If the Winterhawks win again tonight, a 5th and deciding game will be played tomorrow at the Plex in Port Elgin. Game time would be at 2:30 PM on Sunday. Owen Sound , 97.9 The Beach, Port Elgin |
